Joining this year’s esteemed UK Picture Editor Guild Awards, IMAGO, Germany’s leading photography agency for DACH news media, announce their brand new sponsorship and the newest award, IMAGO Photograph of the Year.
Berlin, Germany - July 28, 2022 - IMAGO proudly join the partner line up for this year’s annual UK Picture Editor Guild Awards to present a brand new award category, IMAGO Photograph of the Year. The newest addition will also be the first award from the Guild Awards to be voted on by the public.
The Berlin-based agency who are the largest independent producer of sports content in Europe and a leader across news media and photojournalism will join the event for the first time. Presenting their own award, alongside other leading names within the photographic industry, they are set to showcase talent from photojournalist entrees in the first ever public vote of the UK Picture Editor Guild Awards.
The public will be offered the opportunity to cast their vote from 50 shortlisted images in the IMAGO Photograph of the Year Award.
To be eligible to vote for your winner for Photograph of the Year, members of the public can register here - with a select number of registered entrants set to be invited to the Guild's glamorous awards held at the Honourable Artillery Company HQ in London. The Public Vote will be open from August 30 to September 25th. The winner of the Photograph of the Year Award will win £500.
With a range of award topics and the return of the Guild event to a physical event, the 2022 edition is set to be a highlight in the international photography industry calendar. Stay tuned for more from IMAGO in the lead up to the Awards.
