IMAGO, Germany’s leading photography agency are proud to announce 28 of their photographers have been awarded recognition across 34 awards in this year’s World Sports Photography Awards.

Berlin, Germany - August 10, 2022. Berlin-based agency, IMAGO, proudly congratulate their partner photographers and agency counterparts after receiving 34 awards across the prize categories at this year’s World Sports Photography Awards.

With gold recognition awarded across Baseball, Formula 1, Golf, Ice Hockey, Rugby, Tennis and other sporting categories, IMAGO’s partners featured heavily in the sought after awards line-up. The only global awards for sport photography, The World Sports Photography Awards are often entered by the world’s best sports photographers and judged by leading figures from sport, media, brand and creative. This year saw more than 7,000 photographs submitted into the awards from professional photographers around the world.

Mike Egerton of PA Images: awarded gold in the Equestrian category. 

Richard Heathcote of PA Images: awarded gold in the Gold category. 

Ashley Landis of ZUMA Wire: Awarded gold in the Gymnastics category.

Bruce Bennett of Xinhua: Awarded gold in the Ice Hockey category. 

David Gray of Action Plus: Awarded overall winner and gold in the Tennis category.

Morgan Treacy of Inpho Photography: Awarded gold in the Urban & Extreme category.

Joel Marklund of Bildbyran: Awarded gold in the Winter Sports category.
