Maciek Musialek is a Polish photographer and videographer based in London, UK.
His work focuses on news, documentary photography and video, documenting issues relating to climate change, migration, displacement, and the effects of conflict.

Musialek works for major newspapers and media houses like The Times (UK), The New York Times, The Neue Zürcher Zeitung (CH), The Guardian (UK), Der Spiegel (DE), Financial Times (UK), The Independent (UK), Vice (UK, DE), The Scotsman (UK), Gazeta Wyborcza (PL) and The Telegraph (UK).

He works on commissions for humanitarian organisations like Disaster Emergency Committee, Oxfam and British Red Cross, Save The Children and the International Rescue Committee. Currently, his work is focused on the war in Ukraine.

Growing up in Katowice in communist Poland, in a society where people were conditioned not to say what they thought, Musialek was used to watching people’s body language, the tiniest details that might give something away. Photography was a way to explore and document this. He is fascinated by history and how it filters down into people’s lives and their consciousness.

Maciek Musialek was part of the VII Agency mentoring program and exhibition and received the British Institute of Professional Photography Award, among others.
He is also a member of the NUJ (National Union of Journalists), the BPPA (British Press Photographers' Association) and has completed the Hostile Environment and Emergency First Aid Training (HEFAT for short).

Musialek will cover sporting events this year, such as Formula E, swimming and the World Rally Championship, as well as various conferences, including this year's COP.

Location: London, UK

Topics covered: Politik, Wirtschaft, Sport, Reportage, Kultur
