Virginia Garfunkel from Buenos Aires, Argentina works as a freelance photographer, artist and photojournalist.
Her work has been exhibited in Berlin, Cologne, Buenos Aires, and Venice, and she has been nominated for several awards, including the Bollini Foundation Prize (Buenos Aires), the Arte Laguna Prize (Venice), and the National Fine Arts Prize at the Palais de Glace (Buenos Aires).
She studied photography at the Andy Goldstein School of Creative Photography in Buenos Aires, and Visual Communication at HTW in Berlin. In 2016, she founded "zoi imagery", a photography & image editing studio in Berlin, specialized in visual content & consulting for magazines, agencies & cultural institutions.
The focus of her work lies in visual storytelling, reportage & documentary, lifestyle photo shoots, image editing & art-buying, visual consulting and image concepts.
