On Friday, February 10, 2023, the Horst Eckel Gala will be held in Hayna in memory and honor of Horst Eckel, who passed away on December 03, 2021. An exhibition about his life will be on display during the following two days.
Horst Eckel was the last living player of the German soccer team that won the 1954 World Cup in Bern and went down in soccer history with the victory.
