IMAGO bids farewell to Rolf Kosecki

Berlin, Germany, 23.02.2023: At the age of only 66, long-time IMAGO partner and photographer Rolf Kosecki passed away on 23 December 2022.

The photographer from Bonn photographed many World and European Championships and attended 13 Olympic Games. In 1990, he founded his agency - the Sportbildagentur Kosecki. As a photographer, he focused especially on sports, events, creative, and reportage. He has received several awards for his work, including "Sports Photo of the Year".

Rolf Kosecki has captured unique and special moments with his camera. In sports, his images range from archive shots of past successes of famous athletes to great sports portraits and pictures of exciting head-to-head races. Rolf Kosecki's photographic skills were impressive at all levels and he was at many events, competitions, and contests. His picture motifs are both striking and powerful, the moment of light and shadow perfectly captured.
