Nick David Wins Gold in IMAGO’s Sports Category at the 2024 AOP Photography Awards

IMAGO is thrilled to announce that Nick David has been awarded the gold medal, with William Cornelius taking silver in the Sports category at the 39th AOP Photography Awards 2024. This marks IMAGO's inaugural year sponsoring the Sports category, celebrating the remarkable talent and creativity of sports photographers across the world.

The Awards ceremony took place on September 26, 2024, in London, bringing together some of the best and brightest in the photography industry. Nick David, a London-based photographer, took home the gold for his ability to capture authentic, everyday moments in sports. William Cornelius, a movement photographer from South East London, won the silver medal for his dynamic sports portraiture and lifestyle imagery. He is known for his collaborations with global sports stars and brands.

Nick David is a photographer who specializes in capturing people in their natural environments, bringing everyday moments to life for both large-scale advertising campaigns and smaller creative projects. Alongside his photography work, Nick collaborates with co-director Jack Flynn on short film documentaries, exploring compelling stories from around the world.

William Cornelius - Silver Medal Winner

The silver medal in the Sports category went to William Cornelius, a movement photographer and director from South East London. William is known for his work in sports portraiture and lifestyle imagery, having collaborated with sports legends such as Leo Messi, David Beckham, and Jude Bellingham for brands like Nike, Adidas, and Red Bull Racing.
